Bottom margin: 2rem
Top margin: 3rem — the visible gap is 3rem, the LARGER of the two.
This paragraph's 2rem top margin collapses through the section's edge: the section border does not contain it.
Flex column with gap: 3rem
Gap NEVER collapses — spacing stays exact when items reorder.
This is why modern layouts prefer gap over margins between items.
